Books of their own. Kept to a CPA's standard.

For a client with no accounting system, or one you'd rather keep beside QuickBooks Online: double-entry books inside SyncMate Pro, worked from the same bank statements and the same rules as everything else.

Start basic, switch on more

  • Out of the box: bank statements, journal entries, reports, customers and vendors.
  • Switch on invoicing, bills, products and services, sales tax, budgets, fixed assets, recurring transactions, attachments, 1099s and closing the books when the client needs them.
  • Switching a part off only hides it. It never changes the books.

Every entry balances, and the database holds it to that

  • Each transaction is debit and credit lines that must add to zero. The database refuses one that does not, whatever wrote it.
  • A lock date and closed periods keep finished months finished. Reopening one takes an owner or admin and a written reason.
  • Every change is kept in an edit history, and a voided transaction stays on the record at $0.00.

Bank statements in, coded and added once

  • Drop bank and card statements. A statement's lines must match its own balances to the cent before anything is added.
  • Lines are coded from earlier decisions, the company's history and your written rules, and each carries an ID so nothing is added twice.

The reports a CPA expects

  • Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, Trial Balance, and A/R and A/P aging.
  • Compare to an earlier period, show a column per month or quarter, and run the Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance on a cash or accrual basis.
  • Every figure opens the account's register for those dates. Export to PDF, Excel or CSV.
  • Management reports: a cover, contents, a one-page summary and the statements in one PDF, with a summary drafted by AI that you edit.

Sales, purchases and sales tax

  • Invoices, estimates, sales receipts and credit memos. Bills, purchase orders and vendor credits. Payments applied to the documents they pay.
  • Invoices as a PDF, emailed from the books.
  • Sales tax charged at the rate on each sale, tracked by agency, and the return worked out from the books.
  • A 1099 report, box by box, from what each vendor was actually paid.

Beside QuickBooks Online, if the client keeps it

  • Bring a QuickBooks Online company in whole, then keep it current: changes made in QuickBooks come across, and expenses, checks, deposits and journal entries entered here post to QuickBooks.
  • After every pull, the trial balance is compared account by account with QuickBooks' own.
